Calamocha is a hilltop oasis with pristine and untouched beaches just minutes away. You’ll wake up to a chorus of monkeys and birds singing and go to sleep to the peaceful sounds of crickets and ocean waves in the distance. Our property is filled with breezes and is very secluded, providing the ultimate privacy for our guests.
As our guest, you’ll enjoy daily breakfast served next to the pool, and prepared by our on-site private chef. Along with your cup of morning coffee (roasted in Costa Rica), you can expect dishes like fresh local fruit with granola, gallo pinto, farm fresh scrambled eggs, and other traditional morning rituals.
Enjoy sunrise or sunset from our spacious infinity pool, one of the largest in the region, which offers panoramic views of the jungle and Pacific Ocean.
The Nicoya Peninsula is home to about 230 different species of birds, 78 mammals, 87 reptiles, and about 500 species of plants. Expect some visits from our jungle friends while at Calamocha.
Experience all of the beautiful sounds of nature, from birds chirping, to monkeys howling, and the ocean singing. Calamocha Lodge is free from noise pollution where wildlife roams free.
From comfortable couches, to local artisan chairs, and even the occasional hand-carved tree stump, we offer plenty of places to stop and enjoy a moment. We encourage you to take each opportunity to stop and breathe, and to take in your surroundings.
Our grounds are maintained daily by onsite staff. Our property is shaded by beautiful trees and contains many different species of plants along with a greenhouse.
